They say that childhood is supposed to be about innocence
I lost mine early...Things I went thru I would give my life
to make sure none of my children did...but
I have come to the point in time where I do not regret
What I went thru has made me the person I am today

That is not to say I haven't done stupid shit
Or hurt people that I wished in hindsight I hadn't
but like my grandma used to tell me
Hindsight is a beautiful virtue
I have done more than my share of stupid acts
still even to this day but...

Can you really leave your past behind you?
I think not...but you can learn from your past
Use the pain, the struggles, the heartache and the joy
repeat what you can learn and avoid what you can

I always liked the question if you had it to do all over...
Most people think of things but I can't because for every
horrible moment it made me what I am and every decision
led me to where I am today....
